Playoff Roster
Correct me if I'm wrong, but each team gets 12 roster spots, and one inactive spot? The Lakers currently have 12 active spots, with Karl, Bynum, and Ariza on the injured list. Assuming that Karl doesn't make the playoff roster, and that Bynum and Ariza are on the playoff roster, one other player needs to be left off. Who will it be? The three most likely are Mbenga, Mihm, or Newble.

Mihm is my choice as well. Mbenga is giving us better minutes right now. If Mihm had another couple months to get himself right he's a better player than Mbenga, but time is a luxury we don't have right now. I'm still not sold on Newble, but we do have a dearth of healthy defensive minded swingmen right now.

I didn't exclude that possibility from my post, but I think if either of them has a chance of coming back they need to be included. A 10% chance of Bynum is better than 100% chance of Mihm, in my estimation. If there's no chance one of them makes it back, obviously Phil will exlcude them from the playoff roster. We'll know in a couple of days when rosters are announced.

Re: Playoff Roster
Mitch talked about this on the Cannons this morning he said that the new rules are that you need to turn in any roster of 12 players of your 15 1 hour prior to each each game. you are no longer locked to only the same players for the entire post season.pooteeweet wrote:Correct me if I'm wrong, but each team gets 12 roster spots, and one inactive spot?
