Post#1 » by Tommy Trojan » Thu Apr 17, 2008 6:27 am

I saw couple other boards were doing this, so I though it will be interesting as to see how Laker fans see the west will be won. I have couple of upsets, that might surprise many of you.

Round 1

1)Lakers
8)Nuggets

2)NO
7)Dallas

3)Spurs
6)Suns

4)Utah
5)Houston

Round 2

1)Lakers
4)Utah

6)Suns
7)Dallas

Round 3

1)Lakers
6)Suns

West = Lakers

FIRST ROUND
LA over Denver in 5 (Whose going to guard Kobe? Melo?)
Mavs over NO in 7 (Kidd blocls Paul's last second shot in OT)
Spurs over Suns in 6 (Shaq no match for father time)
Utah over Houston in 7 (This could go either way, but I like Deron)

SECOND
LA over Utah in 6 (Boozer is over-rated)
Mavs over Spurs in 7 (wild series, as always, but I like my team)

THIRD
Mavs over LA in 7 (as you can tell, I'm a Mavs fan)

Not to start anything on here, but one of our rivals in the west in their prediction thread almost every single poster has Utah beating us. One person even has a 4 - 0 to Utah.

Just made me laugh pretty good this moring.

Is it just me, or did these playoffs work out absolutely perfect?

Home court throughout...

First round matchup with a team we owned in the regular season...

Second round matchup with the Yao-less Rockets or Jazz...

We could be well rested for the WCF... And Bynum might even be back.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

NBA FINALS

(1) Boston Celtics (Home court)
(1) Los Angeles Lakers

Winner: See reasoning below

This would be a crazy series, and I'm sure David Stern would get a hard on if this happened.

If Bynum and Ariza come back, then I think the Lakers will win in 7. If Bynum AND Ariza don't come back, then the Lakers will lose in 7.

So I'm gonna judge this series with the Lakers playoff roster as of right now. (No Bynum, No Ariza)

Winner: Celtics in 7

Same as yours man. Hornets are still young and could use some experience.

And well, T-Mac aka Mr. First Round Exit, self-explanatory. Hahaha.

i think the suns are the scaries team for us to face. They're the only one in the west that really scares me. I see us winning any other 7 game matchup.

EDIT: by the way, off topic, I think the Cavs will lose in the first round to the wiz.
