Playoffs .....So what do you think so far ?

Post#1 » by TonyMontana » Mon Apr 21, 2008 11:07 pm

I guess the question Im asking everyone is has the playoffs been what you expected so far .
I do realize its only been eight games so far.
Other than the Lakers which other game have you had a chance to watch .
I have to admit .
I was hooked on the Spurs/Suns game since I wanted to see one of these teams get eliminated (Suns) , but DAM what a game down to the last second .
T.D hits his first Trey since 2005 and he barries it .
I thought I could watch the Detroit/Sixers and it was boooooooring , just like the N.O/Dallas game .

But overall I hope we rock it till the NBA finals cause there isnt any other team that is more exciting to watch than the Lakers.

I watched the Suns/Spurs game and of course the Lakers game.

Other than that, I dont really care.

But pretty much everything (outside of Detroit losing) was expected so far.

I'm very disappointed in the cav/wiz series. All that **** the Wizards were talking i thought they were gonna give the Cavs trouble. I was looking forward to watching LeBronze leave in the first round... o well.
Greatest comment I've ever received.

Spurs expended way too much energy in beating the Suns in GAME 1. All that hugging after the game showed me the emotion they poured into it.

I say Suns still win that series, this is the year the flame dies in Spur land. Basketball is a young mans game, when you get into your 30's its more cerebral and you rely on knowledge. But at some point Father Time comes to take the Nike's !

i dont see us having tough problems with denver or utah.

but san antonio will be a solid test. the test will be for lamar.

pau will be ok with duncan.

kobe will be ok with manu

our duo point guards will be ok with parker

lamar however MUST come through for us to have success.

it will be at that point as to whether i would jump onto or stay off of lamars bandwagon. scoring layups all day long on denver is not the test. but bring his A game against the spurs, and eventually i believe, the celtics . . . and he will finally prove his worth. and it wont matter whos contract is up after this year or the next, lamar will have proven to keep his talent in house.

Spurs are going to wreck the Suns now that they know the game plan is to attack their soft middle, get Shaq in foul trouble, and/or pick and roll him to death. That then forces Amare into some C action, where he is completely ineffective guarding Duncan and prone to foul trouble. At that point, they'd have their two bigs, Amare and Shaq, in significant foul trouble and the series would be all but over.

WOW! ok. sounds good to me. the way i saw that game, phoenix had their chances. tons of them. but didnt close the deal. but hey, if phoenix comes out of that series, alright then. bring them on. our firepower and speed with the bigs will overwhelm them. imo. whereas, the spurs experience and duncan will prove formidable as he did against shaq. but again, if phoenix pulls it out, hey, lets do it. that makes the road much easier for us.

Like everyone else, only been watching Lakers and the Suns/Spurs series.

It's funny but I used to hate Phoenix with a passion, but I don't hate them as much with Shaq on the team.

I got a sore spot for the big fella', I hope they beat the Spurs...and I really think they will.

Lakers Vs. Suns would be the most amazing series...I'm drueling just imagining it!

Without bynum I want NO PARTS of the suns. I say this not because I dont think we can beat them but because if we play them it would be a conference finals and we would use too much energy in that series going into a potential matchup with DET or BOS.

Well Houstons down 0-2 , and as far as the Suns/Spurs series .
We need the Spurs to eliminate the Suns .
I dont think we want to meet the Suns in the second round once they start rolling , specially with Shaq in the playoffs in LA .
This guy will pull out everything his got for the last time to prove to LA he can take another team to the finals .... Scary
The sooner we get rid of the Suns the better it is for us .
Yes it will take a lot of energy from the Spurs to do that , but thats what we want .
Hopefully we can coast through the Nuggets , and whoever we meet in the second round should have lost there mojo once they get to us in the second round .
Isnt that what we want ?

i'm pretty sure we won't meet the suns in the second round. i think the lakers are slated to play the winner of utah v houston.

I know Tommy , Im made a mistake by posting " The second round ".
I ment in the W/C finals .
Hopefully we can make it to the W/C finals .
But again who ever we play , I hope we can (Hopefully) eliminate the Nuggets quickly so this team can rest and be ready to tackle the second round while Utah , Suns , Spurs .
