I normally try to play hooky from work as often as possible. Cuz playing hooky at work is just a buzzkill.

I have 23 days to take off in a year. 10 of those can be call-ins. So just take days off here and there. Mostly to sleep (which I rarely do during the week) or get stuff done. Or sit and play video games.

If I play hooky, too many people end up not getting fries with that.

I don't vacation for extended periods of time, but I'm a firm believer in a Ferris Bueller Day Off every 25-30 days. I took half a day yesterday. It was glorious.

When I am sick like I am now I go to work and tough it out...I only call in when I have something going on usually. I have not taken an actual weeks vacation in 2 years from work so that has banked me nearly 200 hours of vacation time...I am going to use some at the end of May for my move so I hope to get the moving part done as quick as possible and take the rest of the time for some much deserved R&R. 8)
