According to a witness, Jefferson got in a "minor verbal disagreement" at the Graves 601 Hotel in Minneapolis which escalated to the point where Jefferson was on top of a patron, allegedly choking him.

RJ is a good player, but I've never liked him and would have a hard time cheering for him.

I can learn to like a guy like Artest because he can't help being mentally unstable, but RJ from all I've known about him is just basically a complete jerk. And annoying too.

He's a complete asshat, I met him at Butter in NY once and he was just being full of himself. Kept ordering drinks and acting like he owned the place and at one point yelled something about how the VIP is in his bed. I wanted to throw up.

Someone asked who is that, and he freaked. He was like you don't know who I am, I'm the franchise on the Nets. I make more money than anybody else and I get the last shot. I just wanted to smack him.

I have heard this about him as well. I Remember reading a thread a few years back on the NJ board talking about RJ's ego. Something along the lines that in front of the cameras he comes off as a smart and humble athlete, but the minute the spot light is off his ego grows to monstrous proportions. This poster sounded like he was close to the team or media.

This also reminds me of how RJ taunted our fans for wearing red, I understand guys laughing about it in the locker room, but it takes a certain mentality to throw a comment like that to the media.
