The nba rules committe should watch film of Chauncy

I've always hated this guy. From the smug expression that is always on his face to the way he plays, everything about him irks me. He's not nearly as talented as his numbers suggest but he uses the rules to his advantage in such a way that it makes him look like an all star. You really don't need to look any further then the play he got injured on the other night as an example of why he sucks and why the way nba refs handle games need to change.

He puts his head down, charges to his basket and with his arm shoves Jameer Nelson then gets his ankle tied up because he's off balance from shoving the defender. Somehow this is a foul on Nelson. Half the time Billups goes to the rim he doesn't even try to make a shot, he's just attacking the defender physically, throwing his body in to the defender, pushing him, shoving him. he uses his hands, his ass, his back, his head sometimes. Whatever. But rarely does a defender ever actually force contact with Billups. I wouldn't have a problem with it if Billups were actually trying to hit a shot but 2/3 of the time he's not. He's just trying to run in to the defender. Because of his size, and his ability to frail Iverson like and pretend he's been hit makes him an unstoppable guard. He shoots more free throws then anyone on Detriots team and he's the point guard. That alone should raise a red flag to David Stern.

He's a great shooter and he's a decent ball handler but if he didn't have the refs to fall back on half of you guys wouldn't even know his name anymore. And Piston fans bash me if you want but if you take your homer glasses off you know i'm telling the truth. He does this to nearly every team Detriot plays.

And you wouldn't be complaining if he did it for your team.

He's smart and knows how to use the rules to his advantage. That doesn't mean he's cheating, or anything. What do you want the NBA to do, call a charge every time Billups gets the ball? He's smart about how he uses his body and how to get contact, theres nothing dirty about it. And your biased because you hate him.

Dwight Howard just bangs into everyone and rarely gets called for charges, thats using your body for contact. Wade drives to the hole frequently with the intent to draw the foul. Its just smart basketball. When your the best free throw shooter in the league, your main priority is to draw the foul and get to the line.
