Honestly, I'm happy we won BUT...

Post#1 » by Matt34520 » Fri May 9, 2008 2:20 am

I'm scared.lol. :o

Lets be real, we won the first two games of the Atlanta series, remember what happened? And remember LeBron James can win a series single handily, just like he did to Detroit. Detroit was up 2-0 and LeBron won 4 straight.

The question is this, how are we going to beat LeBron in Cleveland? If we win one game out there, the series is in the bag. :D

Also on a side note, I want to applaud the crowd tonight at the garden. The best crowd in the playoffs so far in my opinion. They made it a great atmosphere.

The Pistons played a different approach to what the Celtics are doing defensively. I doubt he'll be able to get that type of confidence and go on a scoring spree against the Celtics.

The Celtics have struggled on the road in the playoffs. And with a guy like LeBron, I'll be honest I'm worried. I love the Celtics and don't want to see them get screwed by one guy...I'm thrilled about tonights win, I didn't mean to come off as negative.

All we need to do is keep home court advantage. That is what we fought for in the regular season.

i wasnt too happy with the crowd chanting "overratted" to lebron. he doesnt need any extra motivation to get him going.

& i too, admit i'm a lil worried. everytime i'd get too happy, i'd tell myself, "think about detroit last year, they were up 2-0 too & they held lebron in check the first two games, this series is FAR from over."

& thats the truth.

the Spurs helped the rest of the league out on how to deal with Lebron.

What I'm worried about is Lebron taking 50 FT's a game in Cleveland

we were up 2-0 on the hawks. the pistons as everyone knows were up 2-0 on the cavs.

this series has just begun. if we win game 3 though, it is over. but they are gonna get some home cooking.

The reason the Pistons lost was because Flip Saunders did not double LeBron. If Doc keeps the same scheme and continues ot make LBJ defer to his teammates in order to win the game I really think Cleveland stand no chance to win a single game. The reason ATL won at home was because they're young and athletic. Cleveland is neither, and I doubt the home crowd can pump such scrubs as Delonte, Ben Wallace, Varejao, and Joe smith to carry the Cavs to a victory, because the Celtics certainly won't let LBJ beat them. They'll just foul him when he actually gets teh thole, and double him outside on the perimeter.

Atlanta unlike Cleveland had no idea how to play on the road. This was mainly due to their inexperience. Cleveland knows how to play on the road and could concievably take one in Boston.

The thing with Lebron right now is that the C's are taking away everything. This is were no Drew Gooden really hurts them. They don't have anyone to go to work in the post so that Lebron can get his jumper going with some inside out looks, so he is forced to do everything off of the dribble. The true irony of the situation is the more that Z get it going from 18 ft the more it almost hurts Lebron because they are not going to look to push the ball and while he will draw a defender he isn't going to draw a double team 20 ft from the basket.

There are a lot of elements that went into those wins in ATL, there isn't a direct comparison. This was still the best road team in the NBA people need to stop panicking.

Exactly. I predict if we take game 3, we win in 4, if we lose game 3 then we'll win game 4 and win the series in 5.

The big difference between this series and Atlanta is that there is not a man in Cleveland who is going to out man KG in the post that way that Josh Smith did in Atlanta.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."
