Am I the only person who expected the Cavs to win last night? It's not because I was down on the Celtics but because that's almost always how it plays out. A team goes up 2-0, they go on the road and lose game 3. However I expect us to win this game. I hope to god we learn from our mistakes. Just because the defense is focused on LeBron doesn't mean you should just leave guys wide open. We have to come out with more energy. Rondo played scared. He didn't shoot the shots the D was giving him, and he ended up forcing a drive ala Tony Allen. All the Celtics need to do is:
Continue to play great D on LBJ, Rotate better on D, play the unselfish but smart basketball that they know how to play, play with more energy. If they do those no reason we don't win Game 4.

My Starting 5:
PG: Allen Iverson
SG: Paul Pierce
SF: Kevin Durant
PF: Kevin Garnett
C: Patrick Ewing

Well I personally think that Celtics have no chance in this game. I will continue to think that way until they show me otherwise. Last night was not a good time to take you worse loss of the season.
Looking ahead Celtics HAVE to win in Boston on Wednesday. Celtics cannot afford to be down 3-2 with game 6 in Cleveland.

The only reason everyone is upset about the loss Saturday night is because of our inability to beat Atlanta on the road. I picked this series to go 6 games, I can't say I was surprised we lost. Cleveland is a good enough team to take a game from us.
That being said, Game 4 is a must-win. Not because we'll lose the series if we lose Game 4 but because this team needs to get the monkey of its back. Continued disappointment on the road is not conducive to winning.
The Celtics simply need to come out with some energy. Do NOT compare Game 3 to the road losses in Atlanta; it's an entirely different beast. The game was lost in the first quarter Saturday night. The defensive intensity was not there, in my opinion. Everyone not named LeBron beat us, shut down Wally and West and continue the superb defense on LeBron and we got it in the bag.

Expect another 7 game series and if the Celtics manage to come out of it, they'll only have to face a Detroit team that has been resting for a week. Exciting!
That is my take...the road to a championship seldom include multiple 7 game series....I think the Celtic title hopes are probably on the line tomorrow night...a win helps a lot the rest of the way in the East and a loss hurts badly for pure statistical reasons.
Champions usually put their opponents away pretty quickly.
The 62 Celtic champs won a couple 7 games series.
The 88 Laker champs won three 7 game series!!
The 94 Houston title team won two 7 games series but there were also 2 other series that year where their opponent only won one game
That is it for champs
The 1960 Hawks played two 7 game series and lost the 2nd to the Celts.
The 70 Lakers played two 7 games series and lost in the finals
The 87 Celtics that lost in 6 to the Lakers went 7 in two series leading up to the loss.
The 93 Sonics played consecutive 7 game series and lost the 2nd in the finals
The 94 Knicks played 3 straight 7 games series, losing in the finals.
1995 Pacers played two 7 games series and lost the 2nd.

Celtics by 11. Pulling scores out of my ass 101 right there. No more of this pansy road crap. They'll win and everyone will be like, "OMG, best team of all time they're gonna win it all now." Or they'll lose and everyone will cry. Either way the Celtics are better than the Cavaliers and have home court advantage here.

Where are those guys that had the best road record in the NBA? You know, the ones who rallied back from being down 20+ points to the defending champs while on the road w/o Ray Allen to win in the final moments. The ones who then broke the Rockets 22 game win streak on the road and then proceeded to beat the Mavs and finish off the Texas Triangle sweep (among other quality road wins, like Detroit).
Bring those guys to tonight's game, please. Keep the guys who lost all 3 road games against a 37 win Hawks team and got blown out by a Cavs team that they are better than away from the arena tonight. Thanks.
