Post#1 » by Jazzy13 » Mon May 12, 2008 4:09 pm

I dont know how he hurt it or if it is a reaggravated injury. Anybody have any solid info?
If its serious the Jazz will be the favorites.

It was not good. He was very slow moving. But the guy has done some crazy rehab for his previous injuries and will probably do the same until Wednesday. You could probably see kobe at 90%.

I have no idea. But if you saw the game yesterday it was clearly affecting his level of play.

Basically Kobe couldn't take the ball to the basket, and the few times he did he got no lift.

There were a couple of times in particular where Kobe left AK-47 in the dust but Kirilenko was able to recover and block his shot since Kobe was moving like he was Darrick Martin out there.

If Kobe can't drive he won't be able to take advantage of the reaching / hacking Jazz defense and won't get on the line. Since his three point percentage has also been all over the place since pinkygate, things aren't looking good for Kobe or the Lakers.

Seeing how your concern about Kobes health , and I dont want you to be worried.
Kobe will play game 5 as posted on the wiretap , and just incase you dont know Kobe , he's is a warrior and he will play through the pain .
Maybe not as much min , but he will play .

Concerned about his health? lol hardly. But I think lakers fans are. Anyways I just wanted to get more info about the injury since it will obviously affect the series.

Oh and in case u didnt know, everyone knows kobe is a baller and plays through pain (finger).

That's just unnecessary.

That's how AK plays defense, he blocks from behind, it's not just kobe burning him.

We all know he will play through it.

Maybe we'll get to see a heroic effort like we have with players in the playoffs during the 70's, 80's and 90's. We've seen multiple guys put on crazy performances when injured or sick. I'm really craving one of those "did you see the playoff game when....?"

Who cares it's not like half the players left in the playoffs aren't playing banged up. Look at Manu, Duncan, Billups etc. All have injury concerns but they play through it like warriors. Kobe will be no different, he's toughed it out before, he'll do it again.

Kobe will be fine unless he reinjures his back next game.

I expect a strong performance out of him in game #5.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

The guy asked a simple question and you not only did not answer his question, but made a sarcastic comment. That sure is classy.
Kobe will have 2 days to rest his back. My guess is he'll be fine for game 5 and will put on a show. Hope is not enough to beat the Jazz, but you can bet he'll be playing at his usual high level.

Back injuries are tough to play with, but Kobe is a tough guy...he can play with pain. I expect him to play big for the rest of the series.

The think I like about Kobe is much like DWill he never makes excuses about injuries or anything like that.

Deron has been banged up all playoffs and you never hear a complaint out of him.

The 2 days off should be plenty of time for Kobe to get ready to go.

You do realize that Kobe need surgery on his shooting hand right?,
Kobe has 2 broken fingers on his shooting hand and torn ligament in his shooting hand That still need surgery, oh yeah he has a sore back too......

edit:there is a huge difference between playing banged up, and playing hurt.

Good post , its actually good to see posters from other team posting this since , if a Laker fan posted this , as you can see T.MacUnited post.

I doubt that since this thread was started by a Jazz fans , and on our board you have yet to see anything in regards of his injury , but were okay with it .
