We are coming for you

Post#1 » by Gus McCrae » Thu May 22, 2008 8:03 pm

The Lakers are where you are. 3 wins away from a trip to the finals. I think both of our teams are on a collision course to play the most exciting NBA Finals in years!!

I know you're confident you're the best team in the NBA, as are we. I hope you beat Detroit and that we beat San Antonio so we can truly make this an epic season. Whoever wins, if we both make it, can say we went through the toughest teams to take the trophy. close em out and we'll try to do the same.

EDIT: I want to add that I think Rondo has been amazing for your team. he truly knows his role and has been very impressive.

Thanks for the warning chief.

For reals though - we've gotta take care of business with Detroit first, as they're not going to lay down for us. I know some people here would love a Celtics-Lakers matchup. Who wouldn't? I'll tell ya who wouldn't - me, because I wouldn't be able to stomach another series loss to your boys. You see, I've got a ton of cousins here who are every bit a die-hard fan of the Lakers like I am to the Celtics. I would be humiliated for the rest of the summer.

Thanks for the good wishes though. Good luck with the Spurs!!

nice win against the spurs. I dont usually stay up that late for west coast games but I had a feeling kobe would turn it on and win the game. boy was I right, didnt think I was gonna be right but what a prediction! :)

I figured no way he lets the game end being killed.

I hate the spurs, they get away with so much and dont get called for it. it seems like everytime parker goes to the hoop, even when he isnt breathed on a foul is called.

anyway, great win and I hope you guys kill them. would love a pierce/kobe matchup.

You must be a masochist, because if we meet the Lakers, it isn't going to be pretty for LA fans.

As for the title, well come get some, as for the OP, Lakers-Celtics would be just insane for the league, the finals might actually get some ratings, gl vs. the spurs, and I hope Bynum comes back full strength next year, even if I can't stand the Lakers he is going to special.

We shouldn't be thinking about LA or SA... need to beat Detroit, actually, and maybe win a road game while we're at it. We got too much to do on our on side to be worrying about an NBA Finals we're not in.
