B. Diddy Anyone?

Post#1 » by College Boy » Fri May 23, 2008 8:09 pm

Ok, honestly, what are the chances Diddy comes to the H? What could we give up for him?

A person with knowledge of the situation revealed to Newsday that Davis has been inquiring about the interest of teams in his services...

as much as i would love to see this happen, i doubt it would. he will want big bucks and with our situation, we cant give him that. maybe through a sign and trade. how about rafer + head + chuck?

I'd love to have him here, he'd be great, and would make our team much more exciting to watch. But B Diddy, I'm guessing it would most likely involve Jackson + Alston + 25th pick maybe Battier to.

I wish it would only take Jacks, Alston, Battier, and the 25th. If it did, and they didn't pull the trigger on that, I would probably convert to Jazzism. Diddy would absolutely solidify us as championship contenders and probably the odds on favorite. I think that we would be better than Boston with Diddy/TMac/Yao. I would want him more than Arenas.

Doubt it, they don't him, they are MUCH better off for the future with Monta.

Ehh that's really risky though. Betting the house on baron's knees and we would be losing a lot on the defensive end. Plus with yao back and with his recent string of injuries, I'm not sure we should be running more. =/ Now, if we traded Yao and got back some pieces and turned into a running team with tmac and b. diddy, I wouldn't mind that at all. =)

We're a good defensive team and there are teams in the league that are good offensive teams. That's where your success comes from. If you're inbetween, where you're not too good on offense or defense, you're gonna suck. With B.diddy and Yao, and their two different styles of play, somethings gonna give and most likely will be wins.

Don't fool yourself, Baron is no slouch on defense. He is very big, strong, and quick for his size. He is a terrific pocket picker, when healthy he is usually a top 5-10 steals guy. But as of right now, I'm just guessing the Knicks can offer the best, since Starbury's contract is expiring and worth 20 million. But who knows, we even may be considered. I'd actually rather go after Stephen Jackson, if there is a way to get him in Houston we should do it. Great defender, scorer, and very aggressive.

1 percent chance. The Warriors would laugh at the players we would offer.

we would be better off going after Arenas. He's younger and a better spot up shooter. A Houston PG with Tmac and Yao is going to get a ton of spot up 3s. I could see Arenas hitting 4 a game here.

But he's still a pipe dream.

Baron would be a dream, he'd be the third option we've lacked the past couple of years, a dominant 4th quarter player, another play-maker and just a guy that can step up in big time situations.
