Ok... Quality over quantity is my idea when it comes to bball. We give up the best player in this deal as well as the highest draftpick in order to slide down six slots to the late lottery, have another late first and add a prospect + a mediocre player? This gives us a grand total of six selections in this draft. Are you familiar with roster number restrictions? I don't care how much you like Westbrook (and Ibaka at 21? He's not on the DX mock draft.) this isn't my idea of a "dream offseason".

Our "Dream" draft went out the window when we slipped from 2 to 4....No more Derrick Rose = no more dream draft.
And that above deal isnt that great.

I understand and it can be hard. I just think we should be positive about our options! Bayless looks like he can be a really effective player and a lot of people like Mayo too. The 4 looks good this year, don't be sad we're not in the top 2.

We don't need to use the draft exclusively to build the team. There are going to be alot of free agents available. They aren't all high priced either. It seems like every team is trying to trade someone to create cap space and open roster spots. We should be careful about filling all of our roster spots also. Three rookies would be plenty.

"Sonic draft
...
#32 Kyle Weaver ..."

Weaver won't be drafted (by us) as long as Bennett still runs the team. He's too local. But I'd love to get both him and Dorsey...

My dream scenario involves Stern and Bennett getting caught "doing it"-- and the next week we draft Beasley who somehow falls to us, and we also get Weaver and Dorsey; Clay loses to Shultz; and my wife discovers we just won the mega-millions lotto.

It said dream, didn't it?

Okay, back down to earth I would scratch the Beasley part and just hope Mayo falls to us-- and forget the lotto part.

*EDIT* to soften the brutal end to Stern/Bennett

Thank you, yearsago. There's no way Dorsey is going to us at #24, and besides people we all know number 24 pick will be packaged with other picks to move up, there's no way we're drafting six players, right now we have space for aboput 4 or 5 players depending on who we resign so not only no, but hell no.

We're going to draft 3 rookie probably and Weaver and Dorsey will not be the other two.

Why are people suddenly down on Dorsey? He came to the predraft camp and if all goes well, he'll move into the first round and justify going somewhere in the #24 range. The comparisons to Ben Wallace might be overly optimistic, but the truth is he's the kind of big, strong guy we could use.

2nd rounders are not guarenteed !

by the way how many of our bigs play defense?

collison ... that is it!

Williams and Dorsey would strenghten our team!

Dorsey is strong enough to help at the center postion .... what center is health?

I'm not really down on him, its just that none of the mocks I have seen have him even in the first round.

If you want to take a shot at Dorsey, why not take him at #32?

Unless Dorsey blows up at the workouts, then take him at #24.

I doubt Dorsey will be available to us in the second. Just my prediction...

I could see taking Dorsey with a second rounder, but first rounder hell no. We are adding three rookies. OK. That's it so they have to be good choices, no Great choices.

Does anyone remember how low B ROY in mock drafts

not saying Dorsey is in the same caliber ... but when looks at the bottom of the first..... he looks good!
