Hypocracy at its Finest (Arena Stuff)

Who saw Sterns comments about the Bradley Center? Obviously not a consistent message being put out by Stern? Key may have the worse lease in the NBA but that can be renegotiated, Why does Milwaukee (BTW it was originally an Algonquin term meaning the good land) get a pass for the foreseeable future?

Until now, Stern had not spoken publicly about the Bradley Center, first opened in 1988, and its future as an NBA arena. But Stern, who has become personally involved in controversial arena issues in Seattle and Sacramento, Calif., said the Bucks and the community will one day have to have a meeting of the minds

"I think down the road given the shape of the bowl and constriction of the site . . . that eventually the citizens of Milwaukee will be facing the issue of a replacement for the Bradley Center," Stern said. "But why rush it? It's a good dialogue to have, a good discussion to have. The negotiations between the Bucks and the Bradley Center will have to reflect on the need to squeeze additional dollars out of this facility. But the Bucks are well managed, and for a period of time, this arena will do. And the planning process will obviously have to begin."

I just can't believe his obviously relentless crusade to build a new arena in every city and have a team dominated lease. It seems to be a business of extortion and he wants to completely obliterate any opposition. We're the opposition.

You know how when anstronomers see a star blow up a gazillion light years away, it actually happened a gazillion years ago? I get the same feeling about Stern. He figures this stuff out years ago and we're just beginning to see it happen. I'll bet Stern's has already moved past the endgame in Milwaukee and is moving on to address the inadequacy of Seattle arena built in 2012.
