Who do you take: Pierce or Melo ???

If you had to choose between one of these two players to start a franchise with, who would it be?

Here is a comparison of their season stats:

MELO / PIERCE
FG% .492 > .464
3P% .354 < .392
FT% .786 < .843
TRB 571 > 411
AST 259 < 363
ST 98 < 101
BLK 39 > 36

Overall a pretty close matchup; however, i would take Melo over Pierce number one because he is younger and number two because i just like his swagger.
Anyone beg to differ?

Me.

Pierce is a more efficient scorer and far smarter. Melo takes some dumb shots and goes 1v1 a lot more.

Boston also plays in an average pace while the Nuggets played the fastest pace in the league which automatically skew Melo's stats.

Fair enough. But you can't deny that you enjoy seeing Melo's corn row designs every game.
Do you think AI and Melo braid eachothers hair while watching game replays? haha

Melo very easily. Pierce is cancer in the clutch.

Melo just brings more to the table.

Pierce's efficiency looks great this year because he was playing with Garnett and Allen, and hovering around 20 ppg instead of his usual 24-25.

Pierce is better than Melo right now. He has a superior all around game, is more efficient scoring, and is an infinitely better defender.

melo aint on his level

ill take peirce any day of the week, doesn't mean melo wont end up with the better career.

pierce is in his prime , melo is still young.

Pierce for the Wizards since we love 3pt shooters and adept passers and are in dire need of perimeter defenders.

The only ones saying that Melo and Pierce are not close obviously do not watch both of them enough, they are very similar players, however Melo ahs done more with less as the number one option prior to the AI trade then Pierce could get done with the Celtics as the number one option so I take Melo.
