So everyone knows that the Nuggets are semi shopping Carmelo..Well I haven't really proposed this on the Pacer boards but I wanted to see what you guys thought of a Granger for Anthony based deal..Of course salaries don't work but maybe involve another team or package Tinsley and another player to make them work..What do you Nuggets fans think?

If people were floating out RJ for Melo, I figured this was a comparable offer. Like I said, I only included Tinsley for the salary to work and a 3rd team can be involved. I highly doubt you are going to get a top 5 pick for Melo and the majority of people on this site would take Granger over RJ so that was one of my reasons for thinking this could work

Kiki floated the RJ, both of the Sean and Marcus williams, 2 first round picks, immediate cap relief, and an expiring contract in Swift, and everybody quoted outside of Jersey has said that was not even close to enough, yet how is this even close to that offer unless they got the 1st pick in the draft, which would then make Denver consider. I will give you that Granger may be slightly better then Jefferson, Tinsley is a negative, and neither deal is even close to Melo.
AS for getting a top 5 pick, Denver would get that plus much more for Melo, and you are a fool if you believe otherwise.

Indiana is one of the only teams in the league that definitely doesnt have anywhere near enough assets to get Carmelo. I dont think they could overpay for him even if they tried.
The only guys that we would be remotely interested in on the Pacers would be Granger and Foster, and thats no where near enough.

Sorry if it seemed like a lowball but like I said ive just seen comparable offers where I think DEN would be better off with Granger than an RJ or any type of deal that DET throws out..Granger is still on rookie salary for a year and while I cannot dispute the fact that the Pacers don't have many pieces to make it a bit more realistic, i do think that a 3rd team brought in could make it feasible.
If DET throws out something like a Prince+maxiell + Amir johnson +future firsts then yes it is far and away a better deal but if it comes down to a granger or prince as a centerpiece of the deal, I'd have to go with Granger.. and from everything i've been reading, DEN is not going to sell low on Anthony (and i don't blame you, hes a top 5 talent on the offensive end) so i guess this is all irrelevant anyways
