2008 Rockets Draft Party
http://www.nba.com/rockets/community/20 ... 39-34.html
Anybody going to the draft party?
My friend and I are going. We went the last 2 years.
The 1st year Chuck, Rafer, and Juwan was at the party, last year Mike James was there. This year, Aaron Brooks was there.

I'd be there with bells on except for 2 things:
1. 610 AM will be there. That station is horrendous, and you know they'll figure out a way to pipe their boring-assed audio feed through the club speakers. Ugh. No thanks. (Yaw yaw yaw)
2. It's Dave and Busters, for crying out loud. Dave and Busters is to fun as John McCain is to cogent arguments. (OK, that was a stretch. But you get my point.)
Besides, I'd just get liquored up and start yelling at some popped collar d-bag, thereby getting myself 86d before the 1st pick. So what's the point?
My wife can't arrest me.
So I'll stay home. (Though she does have cuffs. There's a thought.....hmmm.......)

To those who will attend the draft party:
If we draft some **** player, you should be suspended for at least a month.

I was at the draft party when we had the 8th overall pick. Rudy Gay was on the board and I was freaking out, then the Rockets select Rudy Gay! And then...trade him and Stromile Swift for Shane Battier. I'm not going back.

I was there also, everyone was on their feet for the pick and when they put the trade on the screen I was one of few people clapping,

It's at Dave and Buster's? Meh, I'll probably go anyway.
Morey 2020.

Just look for me and my friend in the Battier and Luther Head jersey. I'll be the one with the Battier one.

Re: 2008 Rockets Draft Party
I don't think I'll ever go to a draft party because I never like what the Rockets do on draft day, and my reaction might get me into trouble.
Take the 2006 draft day screw up for example. If I had been at Toyota Center and heard that Rudy Gay, who I'd been wanting since the previous November, was being traded for Shane Battier I probably would have started assaulting Rockets officials.
So I think I'll stay away because I aint goin back to jail man. Next time county see me its gonna be in a bag.
