Anthony Randolph

Post#1 » by Crossova21 » Fri Jun 13, 2008 4:23 pm

VERY few mock drafts have him coming to Indy, but many say that he's slipping.
Although he continues to largely slip underneath the radar screen as far as national attention goes
-draftexpress.com

He seems to fit Obie's system, a lanky defender that excels in a fast-paced offense. He's still kinda skinny so I'm not sure if he can play PF but is there any possibility that Granger will slide over to the 4 to make room for Randolph if he's available?

I highly doubt he's there at #11. He may be under the radar as far as the average basketball fan goes, but there's no way NBA scouts and GMs haven't been keeping a close eye on him. I saw one mock where he went #6 to the Knicks. I think he has a good chance of being the second big man off the board, behind Beasley.

At first I thought there was no way he would fall to us, but then I started seeing reports that the Grizzlies love Love and the Knicks love Augustin. If those 2 teams reach for those players at 5 and 6 he could fall. I don't see him getting past NJ though, but even then it means another good player will have fallen to us.

I'd love to get Anthony Randolph. Reminds me of a young Chris Bosh. Unfortunately, I don't see him falling.

FWIW, www. draftexpress.com now has the Pacers PASSING on Randolph to take Westbrook.

link

They have both Gallinari and Alexander going in the first ten picks (along with Augustin).

Lord, let it be true!!!   The Pacers getting to choose between Westbrook and Randolph seems too good to be true. Which one would you guys rather have?

I'd take Randolph. Groom him behind JO for two seasons, and you may end up having your next franchise player.

An LSU player on this team would make me giddy.

Nothing good could come of a giddy artichokes. :football:
I have no idea what you're talking about, and clearly, neither do you.

I'd take Randolph over Westbrook, but I cant say I'd be too upset if we chose Westbrook.

It would be tough, I am really starting to like Westbrook, but Randolph is oozing with potential. He kinda reminds me of Johnathon Bender pre-injuries.
