Great layups and drives in Celtic history

Post#1 » by Fencer reregistered » Sat Jun 14, 2008 5:49 am

The top drive I've ever seen watching the Celtics was DJ's off of Bird's steal. The degree of difficulty was very high as fairly open layups go, because of the bang-bang nature of the play.

Henderson's steal in the finals has to be #2, because of its significance.

But Ray Allen's game-clincher, and the beautiful triple-pump not long before that, have to rank pretty high on the list as well.

I'm actually not thinking of any others for the list, beyond generic Paul Pierce buzzer-beaters in regular-season games. Normally when one thinks of big shots they're jumpers (or set shots, or runners, or leaners ... Bird and Mchale both had amazing arsenals).

What am I missing?
