I thought Pelfrey was starting the season in the minors because they don't need a 5th starter right now? Glavine going Sunday would mean he hasn't pitched in a week. I doubt that.

Im pretty sure it was the ninth the first day they would need Pelfrey. Could be wrong, but thats what im going bye.

They did announce that the Mets will not use a 5th starter. However, IMO sooner or later we will need one.

Oh ok I thought you might have heard something I didn't because I was watching the ESPN telecast.

Pelfrey is staying in the minors for the first 2 weeks so he can stay on regular turn and get his work in. Then he'll be called up.

Friday Perez
Saturday Glavine
Sunday El Duque
