Game 1 saw Shields struggle through 7 innings leaving the game tied at 4 runs a piece.

2 leadoff walks given up by Orvella in the bottom of the 9th spelled doom for the Rays, losing 5-4.

Highlights included Dukes powerful 3 run blast tying the game a 4, and Delmon Young's wicked strike to the plate from deep right field saving a run.


Game 2, 7pm

Jackson (0-6) 7.78 vs Vazquez (2-2) 4.21


Game 3, 2pm

Kazmir (2-2) 3.81 vs Contreras (4-4) 3.71

Gritty effort by Kazmir. Picked up 3-4 mph on the fastball his last 2 innings.

Rays up 8-4 in the 8th.

Rays hold on, win 11-5.

Offense came to life today. Crawford's tie breaking triple led the onslaught.
