I can't find a link anywhere. Who did we get for him?

Edit- I think we may have gotten a minor league pitcher. Don't take my word for it.

Here is a post from the Marlin forum:
Marlins fans should be doing backflips it this trade actually happens. Jacque Jones is 10 times better than Amezaga. Finally, the Marlins get themselves a legit CF for the first time in over a year and a half.

Boy are they wrong. Him just being on a team hurts them . Bad defense, bad average, and overall a bad player.

As Al said on BleedCubbieBlue, if the Cubs could get a minor leaguer for Jones and he is good in 3 years I would be happy.

Who's making the Jones tracking thread? SW?

And this is great great news.

I will sleep better at night knowing Jones is not patrolling CF or RF.

Hank Goldberg just announced it on his radio show in Miami.
He said we are paying Jones a lot of money.

I'd be pretty happy for any promising young arm.

Money holding up Marlins' deal for Jones
http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/6963972
The Marlins could be on the verge of acquiring Jacque Jones to be their regular center fielder.

Jones, 31, has been traded, according to the Ft. Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel, but the deal has hit a "major snag," a major-league source told FOXSports.com. As of 6:20 p.m. ET, the Cubs had yet to inform Jones that he had been dealt, another source said.

The snag likely involves money

According to Dave Kaplan.

Cubs will send the Marlins $5 million, so the deal needs to be approved. The Cubs will get back Graham Taylor, who is a legit prospect. He's destroying Single A right now. Earlier rumours also mentioned Reggie Abercrombie, not sure if he's also coming. He'd be sent to the minors though, he's awful.

Yes I mentioned Taylor earlier. Figures we get him.
Good move by Hendry.

No doubt. I don't care how much money the Cubs give, getting back a good prospect was more than I could've hoped for.
