I think baseball seems to be a bit older on average with some of the DH and all. By comparison, most of the English soccer leagues will outright fire you if you are older than 31 or 32. No questions asked, that's just the way it is. They have brighter, more talented, and younger rookies looking to take their place at any given point.

it all could be because baseball could be a sport that wears away your articulations slower than other sports like basketball, soccer or football.

you can still pitch, bat and maybe play 1st or 3rd base until you're 40!
