LaTroy Hawkins

Post#1 » by treyZz » Tue Oct 2, 2007 1:51 am

How great of a Cub was this guy? Probably on my top 10 all time list for pure entertainment value alone. What is your favorite LaTroy moment?

I bring this thread up, because Colorado is beating SD by one and they brought him in. I thought it had train wreck written all over it, but shockingly he made it through the inning without giving up the lead.

Latoya hawkins was terrible. But 85% of the blame had to go to Dusty Baker. He left Lotoya Hawkins in ball games where he just got straight shelled and dusty still left him in. Therefore, destroying his confidence. Dusty basically ruined his stay here in Chicago by putting him in a position he didn't feel comfortable him.

It did have train wreck written all over it. LaTrash just passed it on to the next pitcher line and he blew the lead. The transitive property of sucking.

Well how do you like that. Trevor Hoffman, of all people, gives up 3 runs in the bottom of the 13th (without recording an out) to blow the game and the Rockies win after all. SD's strongest point was probably their relief pitching. That's gotta hurt.

Looks like Halliday didn't touch home and should have been out, but whatcha gonna do.

Who punches out Barrett tonight? Peavy? Maddux? Hoffman? Giles? Zambrano? Hill?

I loved watching Barrett drop the ball in the biggest game of his life.

Geovany Soto.

barrett did a great job blocking the plate though...

anyways... how about latroy catching the line drive against the phillies, then throwing it away at 1st base, allowing the runner on 3rd to score... o i thought you said least favorite moment...
