I apologize if there has been a thread on this already but I am looking into buying the year long package as Dish doesn't provide MLB Extra Innings anymore. Does anyone have it? Any concerns? Is the quality good(I have a fairly reliable DSL connection)?

The quality is very good. I sometimes have problems with being blacked out of games wrongfully, but it may just be because I'm not in the States (and it's fixed with a call/email anyways).

the quality is good and to get rid of black outs use an ip blocker or have other people log on to it from diffrent states.

If you plan on watching a lot of out of market baseball, it's definitely worth the package. The one issue i've heard about this year is with the new 1.2 mb service that comes with Premium. It requires a buggy/screwed up Microsoft player and few if any people can get it to work consistently. I've been sticking to the basic 400k package myself.

Is it that Silverlight crap?

Yeah, Silverlight was a pretty stupid idea.

I somehow still have my active subscription from last year even though I cancelled and my credit card expired, so they can't bill me anyway. I plan on renewing once they lock me out though.

The 800kBit feed is pretty nice, and even the 400k feed works fine IMHO (it's also the cheaper option).

Since I am in Europe there are also no blackouts for me.

IMHO it's the best official stream among MLB/NFL/NBA (especially since the NFL stream is insanely expensive).

Well im a Reds fan in California so I have no worries about blackouts. Thanks for the reviews guys, I think I will stick to the 400k just to be safe.
