Mclouth for O. Perez

Post#1 » by pugilistfan » Sat Apr 19, 2008 8:01 pm

Should I trade Oliver Perez for Nate Mclouth?

Im very high on Mclouth and I think he can have a big year. I like Perez but hes a little too inconsistent.

I think Mclouth can be a .280/.360 with 20hr, 70rbi and 30sb. Is this reasonable?

It all depends on what your team needs are. If you're in need of speed and that Mclouth would play every day in your lineup you should consider it.

Personally, I wouldn't do it because I love Perez (I own him in 3 of my 4 leagues) even though he can be erratic at times. The fact that he plays for a team like the Mets makes him an even better fantasy pitcher. Mclouth was available in a lot of leagues until the second week of the season so I wouldn't pay much for him but if you think he can help your team more than Perez, go for it!
