Most important positions on the team?

Post#1 » by Reggie White » Fri Apr 20, 2007 7:38 pm

When building a football team, how do you rank the importance of the different players? Here's my two cents:

1) QB
2) DL
3) OL
4) CB
5) RB
6) WR
7) LB
8) TE
9) FB
10) K
11) P

You forgot S - guess you mix that with CB as DB since all DL AND OL are grouped. But yet you split HB(RB) and FB?

anway my ranking

1-QB
2-DE
3-HB
4-WR
5-OT
6-DT
7-CB
8-MLB
9-OLB
10-G
11-S
12-C
13-K
14-P
15-TE
16-FB

I favor the lines alot I guess. To me, having the best lines wins more often than having the best skill position players. I will never forget how awesome those early 90's Cowboy Lines were and how they just dominated. Of course the skill position players on those teams were incredible too. I honestly think those Cowboy teams, even though I hated them, were some of the best squads of all time bar none.
