Bob Sanders: A Top 5 Hitting Safety?

Post#1 » by PR07 » Thu Jun 21, 2007 5:40 am

One writer seems to thinks so:

5. Bob Sanders, Indianapolis Colts

The NFC may be crowded with JV teams, but they can hit, can't they? So here's a little sumpin', sumpin' for the AFC. Sanders isn't built to last at 5-9, 205 pounds but he's going to get his shots in while he's around. The astonishing thing about him is that his big hits don't come out in the open but in the pile where he's launching and cleaning up running backs who are trying to get to the next level.

One of the NFL's best kept defensive secrets is suddenly earning some definate recognition.

Lost his "secret" when he was out and our run defense sucked.

I am glad that he is getting the recognition that he deserves.
