Skins sign Reche Caldwell/Put Jansen on IR

Caldwell just told me he had a great visit here and thinks he will ;=sign very shortly. Just waiting on a few details, he said, but he is ready to go.
When I offered "congratulations," he said, "Thanks." And not, "well, we don't have a deal yet," or any of that stuff.

You have to think this guy will be the No. 3 WR at the least fairly soon. I have thought for a long time this will be the last year in Washington for a certain other receiver, and the presence of this guy suddenly gives them a solid starting option beyond Moss and Randle El.

I know everybody likes to bag on Caldwell for his deer-in-headlights performance during last years AFC Championship game but he is a competent third receiver and should be a great addition to the Skins.

That's a good pickup. He'll be a good receiver for them, and they won't have to depend too much on him.
