Fred Miller should retire

Post#1 » by treyZz » Mon Sep 17, 2007 1:48 am

Wow this guy is freaking brutal to watch. He is absolutely useless out there. It's time for him to call it a career.

The OL didn't play well today & I think Miller was a big part of it. We cannot run the ball to the right side. Miller & Garza get dominated consistently and there is never a hole on the right side.

Miller is done though both pass blocking & run blocking he cannot get it done. He is a huge liability & hopefully we can get a stud in the first round next year.

Anyone else agree it's time for this guy to call it a career?

I agree he is not any kind of advantage to us and probably below average at his position.

Offensive line and Grossman turning out to be a problem.
Especially Grossman.

I also think Benson needs to learn how to pass block better. Everytime I see Grossman getting blitzed right up the middle, I wonder wtf's going on

Wait a minute...was Miller the guy that tipped the ball when Rex threw that real lame duck interception? Or maybe he's that one that keeps sticking his hand in Olin's crotch when he tries to hand Rex the ball???

Please, stop digging for excuses for Rexy. :P

Grossman used to play RB as a kid. Weird considering how damn immobile he is.

Miller and Garza were absolutely dreadful. However, do we have anyone better? If not, then dreadful might be better then what would happen if we didn't have them.

Every time pass protection really broke down it was Garza or Miller who you'd see just completely whiff on their assignment. We had a lot of our negative plays because the defense was on top of Rex before he could even cock his arm in the throw motion and running plays busted due to penetration that was far too good to give the back any kind of chance.

I don't say this as any excuse for Rex, on the plays where the line just demolished him, he did the right thing and took a sack and held on to the ball. His interceptions were on plays where he just needed to make a better decision and not attributable to the offensive line.

I agree with all of this. Angelo has added depth at every position on the defense, but has forgotten maybe the most important part of a football team with absolutely no depth on the OL. Angelo should take some huge blame for this. This OL has been together for a while he has had plenty of time to add some young blood to the OL, but continues to draft DE's & DBs instead.

I don't know if John St Clair could be much worse than Fred Miller is right now.

I also think Cedric had an absolutely stellar game considering with what he had to work with on that right side. Props to Cedric for still playing well with little to no help on that side.

Did you see the play where CB runs off the right side (I think in the 3rd or 4th) gets like 1 yard and turns to the sideline & throws his hands up in the air shaking his head -as if saying "They can't block for crap"?

OL, S, and OC are way bigger needs then RB and QB, IMO.

Bump.. Why is this clown back in the lineup?

Garza should also seek a different profession.

From one of the best offensive lines in the league one year to one of the worst, if not the worst, this year.

Miller is the number 1 reason for this. Ruben Brown is old too but at least he can still play the game. Miller is garbage and should be cut if he's not going to retire.
