Favre and McCarthy press conferences

Post#1 » by Ayt » Thu Sep 27, 2007 3:08 am

I'm not sure if you guys ever watch these weekly press conference, but both men really impress me with what they say. Favre sounds like a top notch offensive coach when you listen to him. Its clear he's bought into MM's system and that he realizes he's at his best running the WCO. I haven't had as much confidence in him as a QB since the Holmgren years.

Edit: Forgot the link.

Didn't see it but some of his comments I heard didn't sound all that wonderful, but they could be out of context. It was something like,

"I feel for Drew Brees. I watched the game the other night and you can dink and dunk and take what the defense gives you but at some point you need to take a chance".

Nooooooooooo!!!!

He was talking about if you are behind and something needs to happen for your offense fast. The quote came about from him discussing how he is playing this year and how the games have gone in terms of them being close games where ball control, smart play, and checking down and punting if need be are the way to go.

Ah, gotcha.

See kids! Wait until you hear the context to which the quote was taken!
