Sources: Falcons' DeAngelo Hall asked to be traded or did he

Post#1 » by HMFFL » Mon Oct 1, 2007 12:56 am

Atlanta Falcons Pro Bowl cornerback DeAngelo Hall asked the franchise to trade him last week, according to two sources. The Falcons informed Hall that his request will not be immediately granted.

"He's going to play out the season and see what happens," said a source close to Hall. "He's not happy, but he'll calm down and see how things are

i think Hall is just p!ssed after last week's suspension and fine.

he just needs a week and a win to cool off and everything will be fine.

I think we all saw this coming, and I honestly don't think he wants to be a part of the franchise anymore.

i think you guy are just making too much of a big deal about this. Hall is just a hot head, which i do like to see in defensive guys, but he just needs a week to cool off.

.... but this is realgm and i love playing this game.

Hall for Champ Bailey, Denver gets to trade out an 30yr elite corner for a 25yr elite corner.

Hall for Lance Briggs and Charles Tillman, with Vick and Hall gone, Falcons might have enough money to sign Briggs.

Hall for Dunta Robinson and 3rd round pick, slight up grade for the Texans and ATL gets a quality guy who is also a home town boy.

Hall for Adrian Wilson, and Antrel Rolle (or Roderick Hood)

Hall for Nnamdi Asomugha and 2nd round pick, Raiders love big names, and Hall is a big name guy.

Hall for Rashean Mathis and 4th round pick.

Hall for Carlos Rogers and 2nd round pick.

...... i desperately do not want to see any of these trades to happen. my first choice would to see Hall play for the Falcons for the next 10 seasons. but if Hall keeps demanding for a trade, then i will respect that and think that the trades above would be fair.

How about Hall for Larry Fitzgerald?

I'd really just like an extra first round pick for him though.

Nice to see Petrino already pissing off our top players. Who's next? Norwood? Abraham? Brooking?

Hall is a hot head, but suspending him makes it seem like he is entirely at fault, which is not the case. If we get a top pick and select Brohm over some other top qb's then the red flags need to be sky high again.

Larry would be a great pick up.... but do you feel comfortable with Jimmy Williams stabilizing one side of the field.

i wouldn't mind getting a first round pick, as long as i knew for sure that, that pick was going to be high enough to get either Kenny Phillips or Malcolm Jenkins

Hall did not request trade

A few points of interest: I spoke with two team officials about an internet report that said cornerback DeAngelo Hall requested to be traded. Those team officials, who are the types who would be in the know, said that Hall did not ask or demand to be traded.

I hope we can put together a string of wins. Winning usually creates a good atmosphere in the clubhouse.

Just curious... Hall for Kelly Jennings (2006 first-round pick, now starting for SEA) plus what else would make it worth your while?

It just got me thinking because Jim Mora Jr. is currently Seattle's secondary coach.

Alternatively, Seattle's 2008 first-round pick, plus what else? Figure the pick will be mid-late first round, somewhere in the 20-25 range, based on what I've seen from Seattle so far. That's obviously not enough by itself to get Hall, so something would have to be added, but what? Or 2007 second-round pick Josh Wilson (not starting yet but showing promise) plus what else?

These are all better options than Carlos Rogers, anyway....
