Considering past Drafts... (Why Jerry Jones is a genius)

I gotta say, its pretty amazing we are where we are (its arguable exactly how good we are, but pretty much everyone except for Foreskins homers like Arenas know we're a solid playoff team) considering the following

We havent spent a first round pick on

A WR since Chipmunk (Alvin) Harper in 1991 (and even then we had 3 picks in the first so the odds were obviously higher of that happening.)

A RB since 1990 when we took Emmitt

A QB since 1989 when we took Aikman

Is there any other team thats good (or any team in general) that can even come close to that? No first rounders spent on the main 3 offensive positions? Yes lineman are obviously important but you get what im saying.

Actually, we havent taken an Offensive lineman in the first round since 1981 either.


16 years since we took any of the three WR,QB,RB, and 26 years since we took an OLineman in the first round.
Im amazed by this, anyone else?



ETA: Though we did inexplicably give up 2 firsts for Joey Galloway in 2000 (I guess this one was so bad it slipped my mind
