Johnny Jolly out

Heard McCarthy's presser today, Jolly has what could be a serious shoulder injury, will miss a minimum of 2 weeks but McCarthy had a more severe tone......Jolly's shoulder is very swollen, he was tretched out and a lineman fell on top of him.

Losing Jolly hurts, but it's nice to know the Packers have depth at D line; I don't think they'll miss a beat with him out.

I agree the depth looks to be there to handle this

We might even get a Justin Harrell sighting.

The silver lining. It would for sure be great to see Harrell play some and see what he's got.

Pack has been VERY lucky with injuries this year. IF we were gonna have one - One place we have depth for sure is DL.

You aren't kidding. I fear even talking about this in fear of jinxing the Pack.

Now can the Packers go and sign Williams to an extension? Or do they have to wait until Harrell injures himself sometime over the next couple of weeks to see that it just isn't possible to have too many solid D-linemen? :nonono:

Sorry, I know this is a gross oversimplification and salary cap matters and blah, blah, blah...but for crying out loud, how much more does the guy have to do? It's not like he is the 7th, 8th or 9th guy, either. I understand that mention was made of extending Jolley sometime over the next year or so--go ahead and do that, too. Then if the team is unhappy with all of its highly-paid DLs, trade one of them; I hear they're in demand!

Exactly why quality depth is so important.

Bummer. The team should be fine with this though. However, my buddy and I are greatly disappointed in his injury, we are huge JJ fans.
