We know what we are doing in the draft, just about all of our draft picks have really impacted the game. Leon Washington, Ferguson, Mangold, Harris and Revis. The jury is still out on Clemens, but I like his demeanor.
However in the past two years we have brought in Dyson who has solid last year, but injuries really slowed him down. We overrated the impact that Thomas can have, is he still alive? Bowens has really brought nothing to the table for us. Coleman is the only one that has been good for us, but can justify his contract.
There were talks in the newspaper that the Jets could use someone with experience with scouting players in the NFL already, and that brought up the name Bill Parcells. It would be interesting to say the least.

I agree, we did very well in the last two drafts. Especially Harris and Revis look like future all pro players, maybe even right now.
Anyways, our FO has to realize that we won't keep up with other teams when we only sign has beens, washed up guys and backups. Wadesworth, Bowens and so on and so on. It's nice here and there but we basically signed not a single impact players last offseason. Thomas Jones is wasted right now behind our Oline which outside of Mangold and Brick is god awful.
Anyways, what I'm saying is, we need to sign a few players with the cap space we have. The talent level on our team right now is atrocious. Plus we have changed our defense not too long ago so we also have to make personal move to fit our scheme. Players like a Drayton Florence ,Tommy Kelly or Isaac Sopoaga could come at a reasonable price and would fit our scheme perfectly. Plus by filling a few of our many holes through free agency - we will have the opportunity to really take the best players available in the draft.

Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things. And no good thing ever dies...

I like Florence though im not sure if our secondary is going to get any better through FA. Also on your sig, go next to .jpg and hit delete. It should bring up [/img] and make it finally work.

Thanks again for the sig! Great job!
Bottom line is we have to stop trotting guys like Elam and Poteat out there on a weekly basis. If Dyson can't stay healthy, replace him. Florence is a stud in my opinion and would be great opposite of Revis. I don't think he would cost that much... he was just an example, too.
