Team Recruiting Thread

Post#1 » by A.J. » Fri Dec 7, 2007 3:14 am

I figure we should start a thread that talks about the high school recruits and the teams that might get that player. signing day is around the corner.
and plus we could use this thread in the future..you can talk about stats, highlights, anything you want, lets just have fun with it.

lets dicuss

julio jones has narrowed his college choices to 5 schools

alabama
florida st.
florida
oklahoma
texas tech

if he goes to texas tech, him and crabtree will be scary.

Notre Dame's class is pretty ridiculous considering the 3-9 season, and we're not done yet. Easily the best incoming class since 1990, and that group produced 14 NFL players.

Notre Dame got 4 star O-lineman Trevor Robinson, beating Nebraska and Michigan for him.

One more WR, maybe one more D-lineman (either UCLA commit Datone-Jones or some Aggie commit who are both having second thoughts with the coaching changes) and they'll wrap up the best class in the country.

Lol.

He's your homeboy, but probably never spoke a word to you ... right? Probably has no clue you exist either, right?

Ugh.

Julio Jones is nice (VERY nice), but all eyes are on Terrelle Pryor. For those who haven't heard, he's a 6-6 HS QB from PA who's the nation's top prospect. Not only is he labeled the next Vince Young, he's a five-star SF prospect in basketball and he's reportedly expressed interest in playing both sports in college.

His current short list of college: Florida, Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State, and Pitt.

He was originally considering West Virginia but his ties are going with Rodriguez to Ann Arbor. He has the two local schools and the two major powers. And I swear to God, he's actually considering Oregon. I'm not bulls**tting you.

Pryor's recruiting process will be long in coming. He's only made one official visit (Ohio State) and he'll want to visit each of his six choices at least once. Not to mention that it seems his fancy is stricken at an alarming clip.

Jonathan Baldwin>Julio Jones

^Bold, and the only person you'll ever hear say that for that next 2 years.

Baldwin is a TE, don't know why you'd compare them.

Kyle Rudolph > Jonathan Baldwin.

Eh, he's a mix. But I expect Baldwin to be more of a receiver than a TE.

Pryor telling Rivals.com he's down to Michigan, Ohio State, Florida, Oregon and Penn State; he's also considering Duke.
