OT - Rivers' jawing

I just don't get it. What's the problem and why is the media making such a big deal out of it?

For those that don't know what I'm talking about, there's been a few articles out there about it, but here is a recent one from RealGM.

Like I said, I don't get what the big deal is. I've watched football for 25+ years and I don't think I've seen a game where there isn't some sort of trash talking going on between teams, players, and fans. Every game I watch I see some guy do a little jiggy or dance after he makes a tackle or scores a TD; I see "extra curricular" activity go on all the time before, during and after plays.

Look, I know Rivers is a douche, but still, as soon as the QB starts jawing it's not okay?

Maybe you're watching a game I'm not. It started with Rivers against Buffalo and you could see him on the sideline yelling at Cutler. Then on the way out of the stadium and again on the sidelines he was looking at fans and jawing with them. Like I said, maybe I'm just not paying attention but I rarely see something like that.

You are not seeing things DB Rivers takes his trash talking overboard bigtime.

It almost seems like Rivers is at the game to talk trash more than being there to play football at times.

He's a punk,nothing wrong with a little trash talking but he realy over does it.Then on top of that he's one of those QB's thats always crying to the refs everytime someone touches him.

Rivers is the type of QB that would get in the refs face for not throwing a flag on a clean text book sack.
