Sean Taylor Autopsy Realeased

Post#1 » by CJ_18 » Thu Feb 7, 2008 11:54 pm

Report on Sean's Autopsy wrote:
Prosecutors released the autopsy report in the death of Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor on Thursday. The report confirmed previous reports that Taylor died of a single gunshot wound to the groin.

Taylor was shot during a botched robbery at his Palmetto Bay home early on the morning of Nov. 26. His girlfriend, Jackie Garcia, and their infant
daughter, were in the bedroom with him when intruders burst in.

The report shows Taylor's right arm was grazed by a second bullet.

The report notes another bullet perforated the soft tissues and muscles of the right groin and the right femoral artery, a crucial pathway for blood.

The bullet tore through muscles of Taylor's upper right thigh, according to the report from the Miami-Dade Medical Examiner, then exited the leg and entered the athlete's left thigh.

The autopsy claims what most of us already knew, that he was killed by a bullet basically destroying his femoral artery. But the report also releases new information that I find pretty interesting:

- A second shot fired just grazed his right bicep

- It gives a bit of a clearer picture of the last moments of Sean's life, as it says the bullet entered his right thigh then exited, then went through his left thigh. This means that Sean was turned 90 degrees to the left and the right side of his body was facing the shooter when he was shot.

All in all, just very saddening.

Well, when the suspects relationships were announced, it did seem it could've been a target crime, but do these results confirm that one way or the other? :dontknow:

Do you mean that those 4 pieces of god-knows-what were targeting Sean? If you do, they have been saying since the event that Sean was NOT targeted by these 4, and the motive was not to kill Sean. The motive has been said for months that some of the 4 were acquainted through Sean's half sister, and a couple of them had been in Sean's residence before. The motive was apparently to burglarize Sean's residence.

I don't know about you but i kind of believe this..Noone knew that Sean was at his residence, and i'm assuming the 4 men thought he was with his team because the Skins were playing on the night of the incident if i'm not mistaken. Also, 2 shots were fired and it seems like they werent directed at Sean's head or somewhere fatal (obviously that wasn't the case).

It seems a little weird that apparently, they aggressively broke down Sean's bedroom door, then did fire accurately enough to hit him.

All this report shows is what they discovered by looking through Sean's corpse. It says that the fatal bullet entered Sean's right groin, destroyed muscle, tissue and his femoral artery, then exited and went into his left thigh where it remained until removed by doctors. according to that it seems like Sean's man area was JUST missed, (unless someones not telling us something) which sends shivers through me everytime i think about it.

What happened to those 4 losers? Did they end up releasing them? Because if they did, it's a damn shame.

No :D

I'm actually surprised that the US court has been so good with the case.

The 4 were denied bond and are being held in prison charged with first-degree felony murder and armed burglary. :D

They could all be possibly be sentenced for i think it's 25 to life which anything closer to life i would be VERY proud of. Ive heard of too many stupid things of accused rapists, burglars, etc being sentenced with bull**** stuff like community service or a little 2,000 $ fine.

You want burglars to go to jail for life? If they didn't kill anyone, I don't see them serving too much time. A few years and thats it.

Rapists on the other hand.

sad but good article about his life. Makes you understand him better.

I really thought he would end up as our Darrell Green II. A guy who would stay in Burgundy and Gold forever and be the face of this franchise.

Oh well. RIP #21. No Skins fans will ever forget the four great years you gave us.

Amazing article.

It did actually really help me understand him better. Like, the way he is described and the way he adjusted to previous things in his life just really makes you realize how he was a family man. His childhood was tough and he didnt want any child to live like he did..so the way he loved kids and respected them and the way he tried to make his own family be as close as possible really shows you how SPECIAL this man really was.

The end brought tears to my eyes
