My NFL Draft Experience

Post#1 » by randomhero423 » Tue Apr 29, 2008 12:56 am

As some of you know I went to the draft. In my blog I documented my journey of entering Radio City Music Hall. I'll love to hear some feedback. I'll get up the other parts later.

Every year during the NFL Draft it was the same old story for me: I would become a couch potato for both days; dislike most of the Giants

Part 2 is now up. Here's a preview

The Giants pick came, and all the Giants fans huddled around me. We all told each other,

Hey man great stuff. Me and some friends were actually planning on making the trip to NY this year but decided to postpone it for next year.

Probably spend the Thursday night cruising New York and some Friday. But damn didn't think you'd have to get there 2:30 AM. Is it really that packed?

My journey of Day 2 is now up. Sorry for being a day late. My expeirence during rounds 3-7 along with my grades will be up tomarrow. the entry i think is still interesting. thanks for all the feedback, and enjoy! here's a preview. oh and to answer your question i don't think you need to be there by 2:30. as long as you are there around 5-6sh you are 100% getting in.

About five minutes later, the ESPN crew sat at their table. Because of the new cast for Day 2 (I guess Chris Berman thinks he

No lie, I got there a little before 3 a.m. and there was already a line, I had found out that people started lining up at 8 p.m. the previous day. Very, very long wait but this year was the second year in a row I went and it is without a doubt worth the wait. It is such a great experience and hopefully they keep it in New York. And to the person that postponed it til next year that might have been a mistake because from what I hear the lease at Radio City Music Hall for the draft is up and there are rumors they want to give the draft a try in a different state.

I have been trying to look it up lately but have had no luck finding it. I'll email some people and if I can find out anything I'll let you know. But if it is in NY next year definitely go.

since I dont like to completely whore out my blog here is an article i just finished grading how the mock drafters did with a simple point system i made up

heres the link:

http://dirtfromd.blogspot.com/

Here is the point system for every pick they get correct:
10 points for getting a pick correct
5 for being within 3 picks
2 points for being within 10 picks

Here are the mock drafters i graded:

Rick Gosselin of the Dallas Morning News
Mel Kiper
Mike Mayock of the NFL network
Scott Wright from nfldraftcountdown.com
Jeff Risdon of Realgm (aka Icness)
