Any word on him. He's still a free agent... I know he's been injured a lot but he had a couple of really good games last year. He made the probowl as a rookie and this will only be his fifth year.

I guess you can never have too many runningbacks. Is there room on the roster with Faulk, Maroney, Morris, Evans and Eckel?

Why would he want to come here to get carries behind Maroney and Morris, though? He doesn't really provide anything that isn't already covered by the current running backs. I'd be all for if he wants to come for peanuts, but why would he? Surely someone out there will give him 150+ carries and more money.

I really haven't seen many Lions games the past few years, but his stats look pretty bad. Has he really regressed since his rookie campaign? He looks like a pretty good passcatching RB at least.

Wow, what a weak answer. Basically I say I don't know anything about him, but sure if he wants to sign for peanuts, sure. What brilliant analysis. Call me, ESPN.

His pass-catching ability might be the reason they're looking at him. Kevin Faulk is 32 in June, so assuming they want to keep a change of pace slotbacker around, the Pats do have to start looking for Faulk's successor.

I'm comfortable with Maroney/Morris in terms of carries, though.
