Pulled Hamstring = pull the shute on the season

Post#1 » by kelso » Sat Mar 15, 2008 11:24 am

If Sundin in fact does have a bad hamstring and can't play for any number of games, I'll be the first to run out on the street and scream "Hallaluah!". Finally, we can lose a few in a row without looking like we're "tanking" and then brains will kick in and Raycroft will get a few starts so Toskala can catch his breath.

We need to get into the bottom 3 of the league standings ASAP. This little mini-run is doing nothing but getting all the dis-illusioned leaf supporters away from the edge of the building and back into their living rooms starting to figure out how we could beat the Devils or Senators in a 7-game series. I can see the threads popping up any day now, about how if we got a few breaks this team could surprise and get into the conference semi's.

Rebuild, please.

Play the young guys, NOW, so we can see what we really have.

As soon as we're out, send the stronger young guys down to the Marlies and give that team a shot at a Calder Cup. At leaset someone in the franchise will taste success this year.

Don't let the last few weeks fool you. Tucker is still Tucker, McCabe is still McCabe, Kubina is definitely still Kubina and they all must go.

And please don't give me this "They are Pros and have their pride" crap. Where was that pride before this mini-run began? this is a business and right now, losing is good for business.

Antropov got hurt too so that should be good for the race for last.

And after tonight's loss, it should end any playoff talk going on with leaf homers.
