IND GS Trade do I dare

Post#1 » by greenway84 » Sat Jun 21, 2008 5:34 pm

Harrington, Perovic, #14
FOR
Tinsley, Daniels, #11

I know this is touchy territory. But I here they want to unload Harrington. I honestly think his last stint here didn't work because of JO, but if he's out I think Harrington would thrive in our new offense. Oakland seems to actually thrive on the bad boy look so why not complete the set and grab tinsley and daniels. Plus they get to move up in the draft.

Really doesn't make sense for Indiana. Harrington is basically useless to us right now. Then Daniels is a nice expiring, I don't know about the guys contracts coming back, but I'm pretty sure Harrington has at least 1 more year.

Nothing about this trade makes sense to me. Especially when we trade down and put ourselves out of Augustin range. I really don't like him, but we need a PG so badly, I would go nuts if Diener starts next year.

I think this creates too many PG issues since we deal Tinsley and move down past Sacto which is the other team that would need a PG like Augustin or whoever may slip. I agree that Al would probably fit in OK, but I don't think it's worth the other problems.

There's nowhere for Harrington to play. A JO-Harrington C-PF combo failed miserably. We already have enough SF's.

Ditto on the emphatic no's.

Yeah, I am not sold on that at all. I also can't see Golden State wanting Daniels or Tinsley. I think Al could fetch more from their perspective.

I think the basis of the trade is that we've already traded JO. Would it change your minds if we had Hinrich and Thomas for JO? Granted, we would still have too many SF's and we would all want Thomas started over Al, but with Dunleavy being mostly a 2 now Al would be our second option at SF and PF....and as was mentioned we would have a running team. I personally don't like the idea of JO for Thomas and Hinrich but if we did pull the trigger I think this would be a nice follow-up.
