Star player available according to D. Walsh...

Post#1 » by Deepness5134 » Thu Jun 26, 2008 1:48 am

Chi wrote:GREENBURGH, N.Y. - Donnie Walsh's eyes widened when talk of tomorrow's NBA draft moved to talk of some of the surprising veteran names that have been mentioned in trade conversations.

"I'm not going to say who it is, but I heard it today, I was like, 'No, there's no way,'" Walsh said. When his scouts confirmed the star player in mention was being offered around, Walsh replied, "You're kidding me."

Walsh said he hadn't made any calls on it as of yet, but added, "When I leave here, I will check it out.

Melo?
Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:

"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

Can't be melo...he's been rumored for a while

Walsh was surprised by who it was...it has to be someone he never thought would get traded.

Melo wouldn't be a surprise, given all the rumors. Wade, Billups, and Brand wouldn't be surprises either.

My money would be on (A) McGrady, (B) Dirk Nowitski, (C) Tony Parker, (D) Allen Iverson, or (E) Josh Smith

IT's Josh Smith, there where some rumors about his contract and stuff. He's a All-Star in the making and in the playoffs vs the Celtics he really stepped up big. He's a franchise player and the Hawks would be dumb to let him go, but if he does go somewhere i hope the Lakers get him, lol

naw, he's good but not a guy you'd be soo suprised that he's on the block. Unless Walsh is overexagerating, it's either Josh Smith or Wade. My Question is whay would Atlanta or Miami do it? I know Wade has been injured but he's still young and Atlanta trading Josh would just shock me
