Houston is evidently trading Batum for Donte Greene and Joey Dorsey and a 2009 2nd rounder from Memphis. Good trade for Houston in my opinion, but it leads me to wonder our they anticipating losing Carl Landry to free agency? If so, would half the MLE secure his services?
I ask because this undersized PF would bring beef to our bench and had a PER of 21.56 in his 42 games as a rookie. That was the 18th highest PER in the league higher than any Hawk. Isn't not a perfect fit for us, but we do need some beef based on our problems with Perkins, Powe, and even Davis in the playoffs.

Re: Carl Landry?
The Rockets are a team that relies heavily on statistical analysis- I seriously doubt that they are going to let Landry walk. I think its more than they got offered a ton for a player they had no interest in at all and then took BPA with Dorsey which you should absolutely do every time in the second round.
