Lakers.

I was rooting for the Lakers before the Clips rolled into town.

Since they are pacific division foe- then I will root against them.
Cheers. — Mags

Its like this, for basketball Lakers fans will be lakers fans and the Clippers will always just be that other team. Doesn't matter how they do because the true fans only stick with their one team. Same with baseball, Dodgers fans are Dodgers fans, we don't cheer for the Angels. And I am sure everyone knows the story between USC and UCLA.

This is a Lakers town and it will always be a Laker town. Clippers getting Baron Davis is nice especially if it means the Warriors will not be contenders for a while, but Los Angeles will forever be Lakers town. If anything there may be some sort of crosstown rivalry, sign me up, I am all for it. Lakers all the way just like Dodgers all the way.

Its like in New York, when you have a team you stick with it. When the Brooklyn Dodgers left New York, Dodger fans would never root for the Yankees. Then they got the Mets and now they are fat, dumb and happy.

I will never like the Clippers.

Lakers.
The Clipps are a division rival.
I don't dislike them the way I dislike the C's or the Suns, but they are a rival nonetheless, and they just became more formidable.

This is the lakers town. The clippers will be good next year but I still think we are the way better team. They have a nice big three, but we can have a nice big four in kobe, bynum, odom, and gasol.

The Clippers need to return to Buffalo so NY can have two teams.

I'm happy to see players like Brand and B-Diddy have an opportunity to make a nice run together, but I'm a Laker fan and I'll be rooting for them all the way.

i'm not the type that think of clippers as rivals like the kings (past), suns (2 year ago), spurs, or boston and I think it is nice to have families afford tickets to watch clippers as they were cheaper (although now with davis they might jack up the price). I personally don't see clippers as a team I would ever boo against, but I wouldn't be cheering for them either. Clippers to me is just lukewarm, I'm actually happy to see baron davis back in LA even though I would have had fainted with joy if he was a laker.

Yeah I like the Clippers too. Sue me.

Just as some may say, I love the Lakers and like the Clippers, just like I love the Dodgers and like the Angels and as for the Kings and Ducks I can take them or leave them. However when the play eachother you bet I am all purple and gold!

LA will always be associated with the Lakers !
Too much history, too much !
Clippers will have to win 10 titles and have better players than the Lakers have had throghout the history to be considered the best team from LA.

...That's not gonna happen !

Plus they'll have to build their own arena ! Is there a statue at the Staples with a player that played or has been playing for the Clippers ? I'm sure not ! There's Magic and the Arch of Fame with West, Wilt, Kareem, Magic, Baylor and Goodrich !

It's LAL !

LA is Laker town. I absolutely DESPISE the clippers. I wish they would move to anaheim or San Diego, that would make more sense. It just bothers me when they have home games and I see staples all in red littered with Clippers jerseys and signs. If you ever go to a Clipper game, it just feels wrong seeing Staples like that.

I respect your loyalty. You should hate the Clips. I mean, I'm a Clipper fan and I hate the Lakers. And that's how it should be. If you're not a fairweather and true to your team, no one can or should hate on that.

I also wished that we would've moved to Anaheim, but it's all in hindsight now.

there is no downside to having two high quality teams in town. the opportunities to go see some competitive meaningful ball are quite remarkable for us nba fans.

I wonder what would happen if clippers make 8th seed and lakers make 1st seed... would both away and home games have mostly their fans or would it always be dominated by laker fans? it might end up being like home game for lakers and away game for clippers for all 7 games. And what if clipper home game against laker is cheaper? Then all the true laker fans can afford playoff tickets as they don't compete with all those hollywood stars... the away games might end up being louder than home games for lakers.

I don't know.. just a thought... unless clipper sell enough season tickets to fill those seats.

If you like the Lakers, the Clippers automatically become your most hated team. Whats worse than having a division rival setting up a franchise in your own city? I hope their owner sells that team and they move to some way far to the East coast.
