Does anyone know what process the NBA follows in order to arrive at numbers such as what should the salary cap be, the luxury tax etc?
I know for example that the MLE is equal to the average salary of an NBA player for the previous season. I also know that the minimum salary budget of a team is equal to 75% of the salary cap.
But I have no clue how they decide on the salary cap. Anyone out there who does?
