Didn't some Celtics fans almost take offense when someone said Posey might not be back?

yeah, there is some that are being ridiculous about it. but there is NO WAY you plan on having a 35yrold roleplayer at best on your books, thats an Isaih-like move

Doesn't fill their 2 guard gap but good signing. Probably at least one too many years but that 4th year was probably what got him to NO.

Considering Posey's value and what he's been able to do the past 2 NBA Post-Seasons he's been a part of, his contributions are extremely valuable.

For a team that's ready to contend, he's the perfect fit; defense, rebounding, clutch, proven playoff performer, and CHAMPIONSHIP experience.

He's going to be worth w/ever he's been paid, assumably the MLE, even when he's getting up there in age. -- Robert Horry is still valuable for the intangibles he brings, maybe not so now, but even at his old age he was....

Plus, the way the NBA is structured right now, all the contracts are X+1, 1 being the "expiring" year

I love picking up Posey, but I hate the length. I was hoping that a 4th year would be a team option. Oh well.

Posey is great for our bench, but we still have a problem at backup 4/5.

I assume Pargo will be re-signed as well, and I assume Bonzi won't be.

If Boston fans are mad then they shouldnt. The guy helped them win a championship while taking the minimum salary. He didnt have to do that but he did. He helped them win now he wants to get a raise. I say good for him.

Every time Celtics needed a shot he got it for them.. so I think its a good signing for NO.

Every time??!? thats being a little over the top. he was good, hit some big shots, but by no means was he the end all be all for us this year.

This is a terrific pickup for the Hornets. They were sorely lacking in wing defense, and it showed in the San Antonio series.

I didn't really me LITERALLY every time but it seemed throughout the playoffs that he always hit a big shot toward the end to put it out of reach/tie it/come back/whatever.
