James Posey to the Hornets

Post#1 » by EddieJohnson » Wed Jul 16, 2008 8:40 pm

Damnit.. I was hoping he'd resign with the Celtics.

Looks like the west just got even tougher. :-/

Meh, on the contrary I'm happy that Boston got weaker. Sucks that NOOCH got him though.

Looks like the full MLE no?

Wasn't it around 5.5 million this year?

Wow, it just hit me...

...this was a FANTASTIC move by NO.

It'll be harder to knock their bench anymore. Paul and West were all-stars. Peja has a mean stroke. Chandler is legit. Posey is the intangibles guy for them now.

On a related note... what's the deal with Pargo? Is his still floating around or am I delusional?

I don't see how people can put Hornets over the Lakers. They still in my opinion have the best roster in the western conference. Also I think that Denver trading Camby makes them have less talent than Houston. I think you (miklo) overrated Memphis because right now I don't think they are proven talent. They are the team with the most potential though. Also I do not to knock Sacramento fans about their teams talent. I think their team will probably play above their talent level and surprise some people. I wouldn't be suprised if they the role of spoiler by beating people in the hunt for the playoffs. I also have to say that the Suns, Mavs, and Jazz are really close in talent level. I think people are really overlooking the Mavs.

I'd put Utah ahead of us as well.

Me too. We are 6th on that list with the lakers as #1. Unless our guys grow some balls and get motivated, than I see us as an early exit again.

Posey is a nice signing, but that is it. They have a very, very weak bench. WEst IMO is not an all-star, he got the nod b/c it was in N.O. Hes solid, but I saw a few others who should have got the nod over him

Anyways, I am not that scared that they signed him as some are on this form. Nice signing by all means. A solid role player who plays tough D. I don’t think this move puts them in the championship by all means.

I would definitely put the clippers higher then 10, i would put them at 6 on that list with the acquiring of b. diddy and camby. and 14 is OKC now, come on.

PHX above SA? I know SA's getting old, but we still haven't beaten them in the POs....
