Sign old friend Brandon Wallace
Sign Brandon Wallace. Very athletic and can guard the SF's. That is where we have a hole. He can rebound and hit the three as well. Powe and Davis can handle the stronger SF's that could push his thin frame around

Let's not sign an old friend. Let's sign a real NBA player. I really don't think Wallace is an NBA player.
Besides, we need experienced vets. We have enough young players and projects already.

If he could shoot the three, I'd say he'd be a perfect fit. But since he played PF/C in college I doubt he has that range

How about Justin Reed? He gave Kobe problems.

Re: Sign old friend Brandon Wallace
I really have a hard time believing that there is anyone in the Dev League that can come in and provide something that all the other inexperienced guys on the roster can't provide. I certainly don't see Ainge tying up the last remaining roster spot (assuming both rookies stay with the team) by signing a guy nobody else wants. That goes double for Reed, who disappeared into the Dev League last year as well.
I don't think these guys are in the Dev League because every GM in the league is an idiot. They're in the Dev league, because they're not very good.

In all honesty, and I was a member of the Brandon Wallace bandwagon throughout the period he was with us... I honestly don't think he's that good anymore. The guy struggled in the Summer League AND the D-League...

Thats what everyone said about Kelenna Azibuike, too. I'm not saying that I think Reed or Wallace are any good, but the talent gap between the 13-15th men on NBA teams and the best players in the NBDL is minuscule. There are plenty of players in the NBDL that could potentially help teams in the right situation...especially when you look at guys like Azibuike that had potential and declared at the wrong time, or the Mike Taylor's who had academic problems, the Sean Banks who had infinite problems, etc...

We're trying to win a championship not trade for another KG, so no!
Darius Miles would be a better option imo.

Problem with Brandon is that he is rail thin and can get pushed around by stronger forwards. He would just be a role plater against smaller and quicker SF's only. Maybe they are counting on the rookies to grow up quickly. Tony is good but undersized and Powe and Baby may not be quick enough in some situations. Maybe Giddens will fill that gap. Hope so
Brandon is limited and raw, which is why he has not landed anywhere. Plus he has not had enough experience at the forward. Hope he gets to Europe and proves himself. He was a record shot blocker in college and he can sky. Just needs to put on some muscle and pounds to be more versatile, but I think useful to fill a small gap I think we have, not to be a major contributor
He did struggle some in the D-league but was great for our summer team, but I think he picked it up a little later in the DL season
Every interview I have seen with him was that he was a good person. Hope he keeps trying. He is very raw, but has the physical tools (hope that doesn't mean he has the basketball IQ of Gerald Green)

There are about 12 games this season that we would be better off having brandon wallace, for the off chance that he develops a 3 point shot he is worth the minimum to have his length, something we are sorley missing on the wings around.

I completely agree with the minimal gap between the NBADL and the 13-15'th players. We've already got 14, and I don't think we use the last spot for someone in the 13-15 range. I think we use the last spot for a rotation player - in my priority order, a backup 3, 5, or 1. I don't see the point of signing a Dev League guy, and then having to send him to the Dev League in order that he get playing time.
Is there even the slightest evidence Brandon is going to be signed to an NBA contract? If not, he's there for the taking whenever we need him, and there is no point killing our options by tying up the last roster spot with him. Because if Rondo or Perk goes down, we'll have wished we still had that opening to sign a stopgap replacement.
