OT: Pick Your Tackler

Post#1 » by moofs » Sat Jul 26, 2008 2:16 pm

Given the chance, miniscule odds of it happening, and enough boredom to consider such an event at great depth, which WNBA player would you most want to be tackled by? (I'm tempted to, but cannot either technically [10 option limit] nor in good faith, put this topic out featuring the less-than-attractive members of the WNBA). You get two choices.

Complete, Pre-whittled List (for "Other"):
Sue Bird ( http://www.wnba.com/playerfile/sue_bird/index.html )
Erin Buescher ( http://www.wnba.com/playerfile/erin_buescher/index.html )
Latasha Byears ( http://www.wnba.com/playerfile/latasha_ ... index.html )
Swin Cash ( http://www.wnba.com/playerfile/swin_cash/index.html )
Becky Hammon ( http://www.wnba.com/playerfile/becky_hammon/index.html )
Sequoia Holmes ( http://www.wnba.com/playerfile/sequoia_ ... index.html ) (I'm shocked that a girl with this name could end up being cute)
Lauren Jackson ( http://www.wnba.com/playerfile/lauren_j ... index.html )
Jennifer Lacy ( http://www.wnba.com/playerfile/jennifer_lacy/index.html )
DeLisha Milton-Jones ( http://www.wnba.com/playerfile/delisha_ ... index.html )
Candace Parker ( http://www.wnba.com/playerfile/candace_ ... index.html )
LaToya Pringle ( http://www.wnba.com/playerfile/latoya_p ... index.html )
Brooke Smith ( http://www.wnba.com/playerfile/brooke_smith/index.html )
Kim Smith ( http://www.wnba.com/playerfile/kim_smith/index.html )
Ketia Swanier ( http://www.wnba.com/playerfile/ketia_swanier/index.html )
Margo Dydek ( http://www.wnba.com/playerfile/margo_dydek/ ) ( http://youtube.com/watch?v=VV-I3bvy9WU&feature=related )
DeMya Walker ( http://www.wnba.com/playerfile/demya_walker/index.html )

Disclaimer: If there happen to be any women on this board still, which I don't think there since MsEddie has gone perpetually MIA, you know it's more than slow enough right now for topics like this. Enjoy the no-doubt soon-to-ensue misogyny! :)

I'd have no issue with becky hammon or candace parker. Although despite it being worth it I don't know how I'd feel the next day after a candace parker tackle. I've seen becky hammon in whole foods shopping before(I saw eva longoria-parker their to, got to love that organic food!). Hopefully she's single because I need to go get that ASAP

Add Ruth Riley and you have an ideal situation. I figure being 6-6 240 I would be able to withstand the initial onslaught. I would just run from Margo Dydek.

Aside from that, I'll stick to tennis. Getting tackled by Maria Sharapova would make me feel better if I heard my entire family died in a car wreck.

Candace Parker although watching Lauren Jackson in those Australian uniforms always gets me to tune in for at least a few minutes instead of blowing right past it as I flip the channels. They should make them all wear those spandex uniforms. I think it would increase the rating a little bit.

Assume I'm in danger of being squashed mercilessly by a portentous gynecic ogre?

I had Kim Smith and Lauren Jackson. Surprised no one has picked Ketia Swanier yet.
