Re: Whats Next For Tha Mav's
Obviously not. But we don't have the piece to swing a deal.
We may better rebuild now.
Dirk and Damp for Hinrich, Deng, Hughes and a couple of firsts.
J.Kidd for Anthony and Nene.
JET for Wally and a first round pick.
JoHo and Stack for VC, Sean Williams, Dallas's first and New Jersey's first.
Luol Deng to the Lakers for Andrew Bynum.
C - Bynum / Diop / S.Williams
PF - Nene / Bass / Singleton
SF - Anthony / Hughes / AW
SG - VC / Green / Wally
PG - Hinrich / Livingston? / JJB
Of course, I'd only do it out of frustration to the front office.

i agree we should try and rebuild unless we find ourselves a gasol/artest kind of deal to swing. but no offense, those trades above are bogus. i mean kidd for anthony and nene? why on earth would they do that? we just need to load up on picks and young prospects who are obtainable (ex. bynum isn't going anywhere, neither is deng after his big contract)

Re: Whats Next For Tha Mav's
There's a guy in Russia who is about 8'6" or so, and is the tallest living man in the world. Let's sign him to a contract, then find a dwarf who can play ball and sign him. Then we can lay claim to having the biggest and the smallest players in the NBA. Cuban can put together some plays for the 2 of them, maybe the big guy holds the little guy near the basket, and Kidd throws some alley-oops to the little guy for the dunk.
Mark could make a fortune, we'd have something fun to watch, and with all the extra gate receipts we could save up to acquire a really good free agent next summer.
I think my plan beats the FO's current plan by a mile.

Tank... Plain and simple. It seemed to work well for the Celtics last summer.

Hire Danny Ainge
If we could just close games with Luka, Kyrie, Green, Maxi, and Wood that'd be great...

Wait until January and see where this team is just tearing it up now would only get $.50 cents on the dollar. Maybe Cuban could sign Cathy Joens before the Lakers game and see how long before Kobe fouls out/gets charged for assault?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the Wizzards do that when they drafted George Mureson and Muggsy Bogues the same year?

This is exactly what we need to do. If we end up as the 8th team and somewhere around 50 wins, we won't have a decent draft pick for a long time. It is obvious that we are going nowhere this year so it only makes sense to start the process now right now. Dirk may get us a little more later, but not a #1 pick which is what we will have a better shot at by tanking. We can get a lot of youth with Dirk.
Would Atlanta do Josh Smith and Marvin Williams for Dirk?
They'd have Bibby, Johnson, Dirk and Hortford as their top 4 which would be a serious contender in the East.

Re: Whats Next For Tha Mav's
my heart says, go with this group again, I love these boys, trade for a nice 2 and get er done.
my mind knows that the current squad has no chance to be really successful in the playoffs. that hurts alot but a rebuild may be best after all.
